Googlebot Not Visiting as Often Since September 1st

I am still getting most of my traffic from Google but I am a bit nervous about this. I've recently added some new pages and I notice that they still haven't appeared. So I checked my logs and sure enough, Googlebot hasn't been by since September 1st. Is this cause for concern or alarm?

I'd certainly be a bit concerned if there have been no visits for 10 days, but it really depends on how quickly Google spidered pages beforehand - if this is on a slow schedule, then Googlebot won't know the new pages exist.

Quicker spidering results from higher-profile links into the content (either on your site or elsewhere) - the more links the quicker pages will appear and the more resilient a site will be against natural fluctuations and technical problems.

I assume from your post that Googlebot hasn't requested any content from your site since Sept 1st (not just the new pages)? You might also get some data on this from Google's Webmaster Tools.

Googlebot came back yesterday but it is acting wierd. It is going to robots.txt but then it is just pulling random obscure pages and a few images, it isn't going to any of the main pages. What the heck is up with that.
