Safe search strict filter does not display my website

I rank at position #3 for a given search term. When applying the filter "Use strict filtering (Filter both explicit text and explicit images)" my website does not show at all. My site does appear when using the moderate filter which should mean google has detected a word or words that it feels is explicit...the only word that i can think of is the word "spice", besides that, its a family friendly website, and i notice that this filter only applies to my homepage.

does anyone know of what keywords can potentially cause this effect?

There are several situations that can cause a false read on safe search for images - and images are all that kick in at the moderate filter level. One notorious problem is someone hotlinking to your images from an adult website. Another can be images associated with ambiguous keywords. Check out some current slang and see if your words might be close - we won't discuss specific keywords here.

And then there's the automated indexing of images, which is rather complex (see this discussion of Google's patent [webmasterworld.com]) but can sometimes result in a false positive.

and if your whole site gets filtered out at the strict level, I would even more strongly suspect those ambiguous words that I mentioned above. At least put on your thinking caps and look at your words with fresh and suspicious eyes.

After reading this thread, I was horrified to find that my entire website is completely filtered by the strict setting.
I've no idea why... the only thing I can think of is maybe there is some foul language somewhere in the forum.
I will figure out a why to quickly check all the threads. I have already submitted a reinclusion request, so we'll see what happens.

How much do you think this might be affecting my traffic? I'm guessing it might be significant because many of my visitors are expatriate professionals who visit the site from their workplace.

Asia_Expat, I think this will cause significant affect on your site rankings, I used to have the same situation. Anyway reinclusion request may help a little.
