WMT Reports Duplicate Meta Descriptions - when I don't

Hi guys.

Under Google Webmaster Tools/Diagnostics/Content Analysis

it says i have 12 pages with duplicate meta descriptions

so i went into the source code of each of the pages it said it was duplicated and under the tag the meta descriptions are different?

I thought it would just take google a while to update but it says at the bottom last updated on 4th September?

Whats up with that?

WMT reports are rather buggy at times, and also rather sluggish. Sometimes it seems that the reported dates for the update may be accurate, but the data that was imported is older than the date it was retrieved.

Bottom line is to trust what you actually see in your source code - if your descriptions are no longer duplicated, then that's all you can do anyway.

I have seen updates on some of my dup descriptions take up to 3 months to be updated in WMT, as tedster says check your source code, if you know its right then don't worry - WMT will catch up sooner or later!
