WMT shows dupe meta descriptions after I've made URLs friendly with 301s

Last Friday I changed my db pages to remove the ?=$var and use the $var as the end result of the URL, 301's are in place (thanks JDMorgan), I rebuilt my sitemap for WMT went through it to make sure everything was correct, tested the 301's all works perfect, yesterday in WMT I have hundreds of duplicate meta descriptions according to Google.

So I checked the whole site structure, find & replace, locally just incase I missed changing a link to the new format but found none, ran xenu to double check the old style wasn't being called anywhere, it isn't, checked headers in FF they return a 301.

Is this normal for WMT? is it a case of just wait?

Thanks

Once Google has spotted the 301 redirects, the error will clear.

It might take several months.

The redirect should be preserving your traffic, so keep an eye on that.

Thanks, traffic seems stable so far, site command shows about 10% new url's already.
