I couldn't find a Google News (as in the News Engine) category.

Anyway can anyone tell me if this is a valid URL?

example.com/news/mystory/102/63/

Appreciate any help.

[edit reason] use example.com - it can never be owned [/edit]

As per the technical requirements [google.com] that URL should be fine, as long as the three digit number included is unique to a particular article.

Some sites get away with just the date and a unique filename, but I don't know if this is widely accepted. I'm also unsure as to whether /story-one/123/ is accepted in addition to /story-two/123 - I know it's used on some of the bigger news sites, but I'm not sure if it meets the requirements exactly.

I'm also not sure why you have two set of ID numbers in the URL?

Thanks for your response.

I've taken a look through the technical requirements and couldn't find a fault but can't get it into Google News either. We've not put up the Google News sitemap yet but that'll be done in the next few days.

I think I read that it needs a unique number.

The id numbers are part of the sefed urls from the content management system.

When you say can't get in, are you given a specific reason why, or do your results just not show up? Bear in mind that not every source is accepted into Google News.

No, they just don't show up.

I've now had an email from Google saying that it's been accepted. Thanks for your input.
