WMT - Sitemap Indexing Speed?

When I gave Google my initial sitemap of 500 URLs it immediately showed in May
Total 500 URLS Submitted
454 Indexed

Last week I added 250 so the total submitted URLs are 750, but it does not show any more indexed. It now says
Total 750 URLS Submitted
454 Indexed

Is this just a lag time between when it recognizes and indexes the new URLs or did i do something wrong and it's stuck on the origional file still and not moving off the 454?

Two things - yes, have patience, especially when it comes to time lags in the WMT reports. And second, your own server logs are the best indication of what urls googlebot is requesting.
