Hello all!

Well there are many threads active on content duplication issues and scraper sites. But I want to address an Issue with article distributions. For example:

www.somedomainname.com has an article on the site and they submit the same copy to article distribution sites.
1)Does this comes under content duplication issues? If yes,
2)Then how can we avoid be penalized?

How can we avoid the same issues with white papers and case studies?

Thanks in advance!

Personal opinion here, and not a hard-and-fast rule. I'd suggest you not submit the exact same copy for distribution or syndication. Instead, rewrite the opening paragraph, the closing paragraph, and the first sentence of many internal paragraphs. And of course, make sure the site you authorize to distribute your article will include a link back to your site as the source.

The hard work is in getting the first copy right. Mixing it up just a bit for external distribution is not that time consuming and I feel it can help you track and rank the original page on your site a lot better.

That a good point Tedster!

I agree to what you say. But at the same time when we submit articles or white papers or case studies-- That will make us stand out with the unique copy we submit and the knowledge we share. At then it's all about knowledge or information sharing. As search engines helps retrieving that data for us. But as you said to have a link back to source will make more sense. Agreed!

Thanks!
