Does adult language on your site hurt Google ranking?

A friend of mine is telling me that using adult language on your site can be detrimental to your Google rank and ranking on search results. My question is: Does having adult language in the content of your site hurt your rankings? (Not adult images, just the languages). Or is it only something you need to be worried about in your title tags?

Your site could be filtered out through Safe Search filtering, which is normally set to "moderate" by default. If it were filtered, anyone who turns off Safe Search filtering would still see it.

Agreed. That is the only issue is filtering via Safe Search. Remember the adult industry drives the bulk of the traffic online so penalizing your site isn't realistic.
