Fix Google's Description of my Site?

If I search for my domain name (without the .co.uk) I get it, first place, great, but the description with it matches a subdomain which no longer exists (it's actually moved to another domain).

How can I get Google to get the correct description?

I think they're currently using the description from an incorrect listing at DMOZ which I have been unable to get removed.

All ideas/suggestion will be much appreciated.

Do you have a description meta-tag on your home page?

I do, and it's been correct for at least a couple of years!

Try using NOODP:

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOODP">

Thanks.

Will I have to wait for Google to reindex my site, or can I persusade the 'bots to visit sooner?

As far as i know, you just need to sit tight and wait for mr and mrs googlebot to take another vacation to your site
