SEO and Profanity in Titles

I've just pushed something out on one of my websites with a somewhat derogatory title. The original page title was clean and ranked well.

It just occurred to me that perhaps google won't want to show this page anymore so as to not offend regular searchers who might not expect such strong language appearing on their screen.

Do you think this page might get booted?

I think that Safesearch will probably screen out the page and possibly your entire website too. Best of luck, and I'm looking forward to your upcoming "why did Google drop my entire site from their index" post. ;)

Seriously, unless you've got a very loyal following, why would you want to risk being filtered?

The original page title was clean and ranked well.

Apart from the profanity, a title change may cause a temporary drop... and, depending on the specifics, may eventually cause a permanent shift in ranking, which could be up, or it could be down.
