Google's cache: operator not working?

I'm typing in cache:example_domain.tld and getting no results
(e.g. [google.com...]

Some domains, like yahoo, do come up.

Same thing here. A number of the special operators have been giving buggy results recently, but this is the worse breakage I've seen.

I guess ww doesn't get cached by g? I'm sure there's an explanation of how and why in a thread somewhere, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one seeing this.
