For a long time Google had problems displaying the correct PageRank value in the toolbar for dynamic pages (see e.g. here [webmasterworld.com]). While the internal PageRank value doesn't seemed to be affected, the values shown in the toolbar were wrong.

Now I've seen several dynamic pages (with one or more parameters) where the PageRank shown in the toolbar are correct. Of course, this change didn't affect SERPs but now you'll get usefull information about the PageRank even for dynamic pages (e.g. the PageRank distribution within your website).

Does anybody know if this was a recent change or if this are old news?

I think that's been fixed for a while. The problem was there when Google was still struggling to index almost any dynamic url properly - a problem that they've thankfully handled now.
