Hi,

I've been digging in my back links shown up by Yahoo site explorer and have found one very dodgy one.

The site is .com but Whois shows it is owned by someone in Russia.

The domain name is just random letters.

There are thousands of computer generated pages each with many links to other pages on the domain and on sub domains. I can't find any other outbound links except one to my site.

When I do a search for the domain name I find that it is listed on over 20,000 pages and when I look closer this is all just comment spam.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Can I do anything about it?

Fortunately it is not listed in Google Webmaster tools.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Sid

One site can't create a Google bowl in my experience. It takes a flood.

Hi Tedster,

Thanks for your quick reply. Do you think what I described above could affect rank at all?

Or should I stop worrying about that and find something else to worry about?

Cheers

I'd hate to deprive you of a source of worry ;) but if this was my discovery, I'd just make a note of it and move on.
