How often is "links from external sites" updated in GWT?

Does anybody have any idea on how often Google updates the report on "links from external sites".

I don't see much talk about it here but I find it a great way of keeping track of my linking progress and what drops off and when.

The last 2 weeks though there has been no update (even though I used to see it get updated every couple of days / few days)

Has anyone seen this and have any ideas on why this may be?

I've noticed this recently - and many other kinds of reporting function bobbles as well. I think it's related to the changes that we're discussion in the "Dewey" thread.

Google has been working to make the Webmaster Tools reporting more up to date for site owners, but from time to time, that falls apart. I don't think we can count on any particular schedule.

Hi tedster - thanks for that, in a way vaguely reassuring that I'm not the only one! Do you know if google has many plans for webmaster tools, the sitelinks is something that I heard was going to be developed, as is the interaction with Google themselves from webmaster tools. What do you think?

Been updated.. so it ended up being just under 3 weeks in total without an update
