Today one strange thing happened to me, my site position is good (first page) for my few keywords from last couple of months but all of sudden my site rankings got down tremendously they are not in 500.. surprise and shocked.
what could have been happened , i have done research on webmasterworld but i couldn't find exact reason why it has happened and iam sure google has not penalised my site bcoz if google penalizes they will send mail to me stating which site problems to be clear out which doesn't happen in my case. some thing happened but what happened ?

consider has this urgent issue
your experiences , views , suggestions are most welcome to put it here

Google will not always send you an email regarding penalties. Have you made any changes to your site in the past few months? How old is your site? How long did you hold first page rankings?

Have you looked into g-30 and 950?

Have you lost any high PR / high trust links lately?

Have you done a search for a snippet of text to see if anyone has scraped you?

Thats where I would start if I was happy it wasn't a penatly (note: don't assume you will receive an email if you have a penalty, I think these are more the exception rather than the rule)

Or ever.

Give it a while. I had a site dropped recently and it came back a day or two later.

i have not received any mail from google regarding penality then how can i find out whether my site is penalised for particular keywords or not, what is the procedure to know g-30,350,950 penalities
As Mr.soxos said "Have you done a search for a snippet of text to see if anyone has scraped you?" - i have heard this point first time so can you let me know how to go with this one

Basically search for some unique text that is on your website page that has dropped and see if there are other websites using it, if so there could be a filter on your page not a penalty but a filter Google won't mail you if its an algo change thats caused the page to drop they might if you are completely breaking their guidelines but i wouldn't rely on that form of communication from them.

1) no email from google
2) i have tested with unique text from my web page but i dont see any of other sites using the same content.
3) i have not done any changes in the site.
4) we dont have any purchased links

then what might be the possible way to have -30,-350,-950 on my keywords
how can i know whether my site is penalised for particular keywords or not?
