Well if you haven't got a sustainable plan in place , then you don't have a business future - so i guess everyone's playing with this.
But heck - 50% or more of revenue is being driven by search on the sites I watch and 90% of this is probably driven via Google. Ouch -now we're in trouble. So I thought that there may be a common thought process out there amongst SEO consultants and managers of SEO on how they deal with their clients or business', and i thought it would be good to get some common elements shared. How do folks out there justify their presence.
Some get this from personal experience, others from researching competitors plus these threads, and some a combination of both.
So here goes , I thought, via a high level SEO SWOT and then a statement of actions which should be specific with factual statements :
What are the top 5 :
-strength characteritsics a site and/or management should have [ look internally ]
-weakness'or vulnerabilities a site and / or management can have [ look internally ]
-greatest opportunities a site has [ look externally ]
-greatest threats a site can have [ look externally ]
Then what are the top 5 things you have in your high level Google action plan ?

The real thing is Google itself has a big dependence from search/contextual advertising and that is the core business of the bigger web company of the world. And big companies rarely attack his core business; so, before you make your Google action plan, add to your strength characteristics list that you're now in a relatively quiet area.
And then back to work in your's site content to have happy users.
