If you have experience with writing and implementing a reconsideration request, I would love to hear about your experience and anything that might help me with mine.
Timeframe? What you wrote? Ranking changes?

Google wants to know what happened and what you did to fix it. So write a simple explanation of the problem and then describe what you did to comply with webmaster guidelines.
It wouldn't hurt to apologize if you deliberately and knowingly flouted the guidelines.
