Multiple Google listings after permalink transfers

I've been posting on this forum about my Wordpress installation transfers, and it has really helped. I moved the installation forward 1 folder, and added a rewrite to direct all older requests for the new files.

My issue now is that a Google site search returns a few duplicate pages on my site. Some have the older URL and most have the newer one. I have 301 redirects in the rewrite. Does Google typically delete files in the index that use a 301?

Should I just wait to see what happens or look into it further?

Google will drop the source of the 301 eventually and only show the destination url.
