I'm not sure if anyone has posted this before. I have a problem with my site, my main page has no ranking but my internal pages does. I have rankings on my several keywords before but now they are gone. Also, it was last crawled Jan. 24, 2008. I already removed the error pages on my webmaster tools and expected that they will crawl again but nothing happens. I don't know what's the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have incoming links to your main page?
Do you have incoming links to inside pages?
Do the links to your main page go to example.com/ - or example.com/index.html?
Are you looking at www.example.com/ - or www.example.com/index.html?

ALWAYS advertise your site as domain.com - and be sure that all your internal main page linking goes to domain.com. Never to index.html (or .php etc., etc.)

Also make sure someone hasn't scraped your home page content.

check with copyscape and do a google search on your domain

www.example.com -allinurl:www.example.com

Thanks guys for your reply. After researching and doing some trial and error, I have found out that my site have been spammed/hacked by this famous Spam Injection called GORO, even Matt Heaton's and Al Gore's blog too!

In Google view, have seen lots of medicine/drug links in my footer using a cloaking detector. That's why there are some errors during the crawling of my site.

We are now doing some ways on how to remove it from my site. :(

Do you have any link(s) that provide more details on goro? I can remove the div and script in my infected page, but I'm not sure how to figure out how it happened in the first place. thanks

I also saw this sort of thing recently because the "home" page had "three home pages" after a server move (and dup isues) Google seemed to choke on =====

index.htm, index.html and default.htm

quicly sorted out with some 301 redirects

a-Beatrice I had the same problem last week. The same day my site was hacked Google crawled it and my index page just disappeared. I have also removed the offending links and hopefully Googlebot crawls me soon. Good luck!
