Curious to know what people's percentage of sales are from organic rankings? Right now my website only gets about 5% of sales from Google organic searches. Granted my rankings are not that good, so I am curious if you have first page rankings what percentage of sales come from Google organic clicks.

I have a range of sites that are 100% organic revenue, 60-70% from Google.

We are a small company with no other marketing than internet. We don't have any PPC, etc, so 100% of our sales depends on organic search.

For the primary site I work on, about 20% of the traffic is organic search but it only generates 16% of the revenue.

We use multiple types of online marketing including SEO and organic marketing. About 16% of our revenue comes from organic listings and roughly 14% from CPC marketing

100% organic right now (lead generation type stuff) but I've done ppc in the past and very roughly it doubles or better what comes in. Can't handle what I've got right now so not running PPC.

Unfortunately I would have to say only about 15% organic.

arieng: how would you know 20% generated only 16% revenue? do you track all your visitors and where they click?

Dailypress -> I didn't explain myself very clearly. That data was taken from an annual analytics review I ran last month for the 2007 calendar year. I looked at both traffic by source and revenue by source. Organic search accounted for 20% of the traffic, but only 16% of the overall revenue.

I think a better question to ask yourself is what your conversion rate is on organic traffic. We pull in 3000+ uniques a day from organic traffic yet our conversion rate from that traffic is less than one half of a percent.

Pay Per Click ads generally returned a 2 to 3 percent conversion on average.

On our website our organic traffic converts at 2.2% whereas my paid advertising converts at 1.2%

I would say that our organic converts better because of the keywords that we are ranking for.
