We all talk about submitting large websites to the search engines etc and getting links to help get indexed quicker but what about those of us that are just designing a 1-2 page website with not that much content but keyword targetted.

Niche product returns just under 80,000 results when searched for in google uk.

It's going to come down to backlinks.

Are you sure that the product or proposition, the company, the staff, and so on, only merit three pages of content?

It may come as a shock to some, but yup, sometimes just a few pages is all that's needed. I mean, c'mon, bigger isn't always better - just look at Google's index! ;)

I disagree....if speaking strictly from the SEO and traffic driving stand point, bigger is ALWAYS better. More pages, more links, more keywords, more variations...more traffic.

Its just that I feel our customers would prefer to see as least as possible on the page except the neccesary info to get the product.

And you may be correct, but you're referring to usability and/or conversions....not SEO and traffic building.

I agree with balam

I have a few sites with only a few pages that generate a decent amount in terms of revenue.

Obviously if you add more pages and have more content, you will get more traffic, but some people prefer to designate their other domains/websites for that purpose.

As long as those three pages arent only directories and links to other websites you should be fine as long as you get good backlinks as Tedster mentioned.
