Fast reinclusion after a robots.txt hack

We had our sites hacked and our competitor had uploaded a robots.txt(user-agent:* disallow:/) with a disallow request. We had discovered this only when our site had disappeared from google.

I have submitted my site after this incident, however please help us reincluding our site as we have been loosing business since then.

Any opinion about how we can reinclude our site as soon as possible?

If Google is now allowed to crawl the site, then you should normally be reincluded within a few days to weeks.

You might want to get into Google Webmastertools and file a reinclusion request in case there is anything else going on.

Besides thinking of your rankings in Google, I would also closely examine how they were able to upload such a robot.txt file to your site. The damage may be much greater than just this. They could also have left a backdoor open to change the robots.txt file again as soon as your URLs appear again in the Google SERPs.

Moving to another server or even better another hosting company seems the only safe way to me to prevent this of happening again.

I made a wrong entry in my file by mistake and it took Google a few weeks to reindex a few thousand pages, but all rankings came back as always.
