Is using Google's Web Optimizer a kind of cloaking?

Hi,

Today I thought of using Google's web optimizer. Here is what it does

  1. A/B testing
It will show A page to 50% of your visitors and B page to other 50%.
It redirects from page A to Page B for some visitors.

  2. Multi variant testing
It can allow you make different sections of your page variable and display different content randmonly. This is done through JS though.
Different content to different visitors (may be to Google as well), will it be considered as cloaking?

I haven't done enough testing and experiments yet, please share your experiences with Google's web optimizer.

I liked the tool, it is awesome!

Thanks,

No, done properly A/B testing is not cloaking -- or at least it's not deceptive cloaking. Many websites use split testing or "multivariate testing", using Google's product and many others and have no problem.

I guess since the JS is disabled by Googlebots it shouldn't be a problem.
