Yahoo Local listing affecting Google results?

Can having a listing in Yahoo local affect your ranking in google?, why I ask is because I have a static page that has been listed in google for about 5 years and I noticed the other day it was now missing from googles index, I highlighted a section of text that is unique to my page and made a search in google, and now all that shows is 2 scraper sites and lots of listings for my text in yahoo local, anyone know if there is a way around this?

I doubt that Yahoo Local is the issue here - that would make trouble for way too many websites. When you say that this page has "disappeared", do you mean that the url no longer shows up on a Google site: operator search?

hi tedster, just checked and the url is still in the index, but none of the text of my page turns up doing a search for text unique to that page, the only thing that shows is one line of text from my site thats been scraped by yahoo, i have just done a test and changed that line, i will sit back and see what happens after the next time google makes a visit to the page

just an update on this as i have noticed another poster on here with the same problem, if i highlight any unique text from that page google does not turn up any results but at the moment i am getting one or two visits a day from very long tailed searches, this is very bizarre as i have never seen this happen in the past
