hello guys,

here is what i noticed today.
after i enter my webpage url into google search field for example
http://www.mysite.com/some-tutorial.html

google returns result in a cache of another my site's webpage like
http://www.mysite.com/some2-tutorial.html

is it natural, or should i be concerned?

thanks

I'm not 100% clear on what you are seeing. Both the dash and the period characters are seperators when you do a normal search - so your second url might well be in the search results for the first url.

If the cache for urlA shows urlB instead, then that is a mistake. But if a search for urlA also returns urlB as one of several results, then there is no problem. I'm just not clear if the search result is showing you both these urls or just the second.

What do you see for the allinurl: search?

I asked for somesite.com and got results for someothersite.com returned.

That just showed Google was fully aware of the 301 redirect from the site I asked for, to the site they actually showed.

actually "allinurl:keyword" works fine.

typing in full url of a webpage does not mean that the result returned is not necessarily that particular page, different result might be associated with text in the links pointing to page. Am i right?

so i guess there is no problem...
