Google changes again, and just how much have we learned.

Surely, rather than panicking, we should be helping the new guys ...

So, ok, Google has made another mad alteration in their everlasting attempts to get the perfect search results. But really, we've been here before and isn't it about time we came clean to the new guys that come looking for authoritative advice ...

... "We haven't, nor will we ever have the answer to your questions".

At best we can make educated guesses, but I challenge anyone here to stand up and say that they know exactly what's going on and how to solve the problems that it is causing.

Go on ... if you think your hard enough ;-)

All the Best

Col :-)

That's Google's Job - don't let it get to you.

Of course we don't know it all - we don't work for Google.
Neither do we ever claim to know it all.

But if you read around, you'll find lots of good advice - not perfect - but those who learn (and keep learning) do tend to do better than those who give up.

Does that help ;)

Thanks for the answer Quadrille,

I know and appreciate what your saying, but I think that there are always a lot of new joiners to these forums when Google does an update, I guess because they have been affected in a bad way. They come looking for answers and they end up getting caught up in years of theory and discussion that is only wasting their precious time, time that they could be spending creating good quality content.

My advice would be not to listen to the huge amounts of "This could be wrong, that might be wrong" and get creative ... individual, personal and valuable content will always get higher listings than tiny tweaks to your site code.
