New site shows in cache only

cache: command is showing site otherwise missing in the index

I recently launched a forum approx. one month back. Googlebot has been crawling the forum everyday. All the new posts are crawled the same day they are added to the site.

The site does not appears in the index at all.

site: command returns 0 results.

But when I search using the cache:www.mydomain.com command it takes me to the index page of the site and shows the cache of 26th June.

The site has decent good one way inbound links.

My question is - how much time should it take for this site to show up in the index.

Is the site banned or should I wait for some more time.

My deep research on the domain also shows that this domain was registered earlier but had no site hosted on it and was released 4 months back only. Could this be the reason of delay or any penalty whatsoever.

Google crawled 50 pages of site today also....

but I am not in index yet.

getting crawled and index is not a problem its getting the pages to stick thats the trick!
