Different PR for same page from the same Google datacenter?

Hi,
Our site is of the sites that got butchered by the now infamous JN27 update.
Besides the other common weird symptoms I've noticed that
www.example.com/shop/ has PR = 5
www.example.com/shop/index.php has PR =1!

Is any body else experiencing this? or can shed light?
Cheers

Those are two different urls. Even if they happen to resolve to the same content on your domain, technically they don't need to. And what you are doing is "splitting" Page Rank into two piles by having two URLs indexed.

I would advise that you change all links for "Home" to point to http://www.example.com/ and never to /index.php. The same applies to any directory level index pages -- link them to http://www.example.com/directory/

Or you can do a 301 redirect from:

www.example.com/shop/

to

www.example.com/shop/index.php
