I have an older site that has gone through a lot of revisions, so there are a lot of orphan files and graphics. I am currently working to get rid of them but I am afraid that my site going down in size and the deletion of previously indexed files might hurt my page rank. Any input on this would be helpful. Thank you.

Removing obsolete and orphans will do no harm, so long as your navigation is up to date.

Thanks for the tip with xenu, I'll definetly check it out, I've been looking for the right tools, I'm currently trying the trial version of ChangeAgent and it's working well for identifying orphans but I haven't had a chance to check it for other clean up type activities as of yet.
