Not a problem I thought, and started using Firefox to access it. All was working fine until a few days ago, now when I try to log in using Firefox I get the message "The page isn't redirecting properly - Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete - This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies".
Strange I thought, had a look about my internet settings, most stuff is on medium-low or low for cookie allowing, but just to be sure I've added google.com and .co.uk to my trusted sites list, both on the security tab and the privacy tab to always allow cookies.
Still doesn't work. Any ideas?
Odd to have the same problem with two browsers - very odd. Makes me wonder if you have some malware on the machine that's triggering off the google domain name.
What I see happening at login does involve a whole lot of cookie action. If you come up clean on a malware check, I'd suggest deleting all your Google cookies (Tools > Options > Privacy > Show Cookies) and starting over with no Google coookies at all. Something may have become corrupted with your old cookies and now you generate a loop when you try to log in.
Anyway, I sorted the problem out. Was using a link from my favourites (had imported IE favs into FF), which wouldn't work. Went through the Google site again and all was fine, so have now updated my favs :)
Thanks anyway.
