How can a blog get picked up in Google Blog Search? The blog ranks well in its most important keyword in Google search (#3 or #4 for a very competitive term), but it is nowhere to be found in Google Blog search.

I use Blogger but publish it through my site, and use Feedburner for the feeds. I have submitted it several times to Google blog search and ping Blog search everytime new posts are added. But still nowhere

What should I look at?

Sounds like you're doing the things you need to do:

5. How do I get my blog listed?

If your blog publishes a site feed in any format and automatically pings an updating service (such as Google Blog Search Pinging Service [google.com]), we should be able to find and list it. Also, we will soon be providing a form that you can use to manually add your blog to our index, in case we haven't picked it up automatically. Stay tuned for more information on this.

So I'd say you should just double and triple check your technical set-up for now. Getting a decent increase in subscribers to show in Feedburner might also help.
