Short articles or combined into longer pages?

Whats the best way to go?

I have a number of 100 word articles on my site. I am wondering if it would be worth combining articles into longer pages, so less pages but much longer text- would that get googles attention better?

If those articles are not duplicates of the same on other sites, I would suggest keeping each article alone.

It rather depends on your pages.

If you have big, bulky pages with lots of shared code (Google reads the code, not the visible page), then 100 words looks fairly small, doesn't it? And Google may not appreciate the uniquity of your content.

If you have been doing this for a while, and do not have a supplementary result issue, then you may be OK - but I suspect you are on the borderline, and if the articles are similar or overlapping, I suspect you are at risk.
