I recently changed all the page addresses for my site (I had to!) and at the moment, both the new and old page shows up during a search so all new pages are listed.

How long does it take for old pages, which currently 404, to drop off out of the google SERPS?

It depends partly on your site's normal spidering cycle, but removal from the regular search results is usually very fast. However, googlebot will usually continue to check your server for those urls, on a declining basis, for months and months. Just making sure you don't change your mind.

Google can take a few months to fully drop old pages. Yahoo and MSN take much-much longer.

You can use Google's Webtools to get them removed pretty quick (within a day or two).
