forbidden 403 in webmaster tools!

My site has been up for about an year now and was indexed by google on its search engine, it even crawled the siteup well.
Now the problem is that my site is removed from google search and webmaster tools states an error "forbidden 403" while crawling the sitemap! All links including home page show forbidden 403 in crawl status, thought the site is working fine on my pc and other people are visiting my site fine! .htaccess is also empty!

Please help me regarding this issue as my traffic has gone half due this.

Do you have a robots.txt file? Check it to make SURE you aren't blocking off your whole site...make sure you don't have a /

Oh, good! You will. I've seen that happen and the next day they were in Google.

There was some problem in the robots.txt :D
