Today when I do a some searches instead of Google returning 20 results, I am getting 100. Just on some kinds of searches. Is this new?

With a result set that small, you can probably analyze for a bit more detail, assuming you archive the older results. Would be interesting to see what created a 5-fold increase.

I see some sites that have doubled their indexed page count at some Class-C IP blocks, and halved it at others.
Google has several versions of the index and/or the filtering and ranking system currently live.
