Number of indexed pages goes up and down

The number of pages from my website that are in google's cache goes up and down every month.

I can't really understand why this is happening, what triggers google to take out my pages? What makes it put them back again?

It's really making me crazy.

Can anyone answear me why this is happening?

I see that other websites don't have this problem. Once a page is indexed ti stays there...

I have the same problem. Not really sure why.

Our site had 31 indexed pages (all unique content) while we continue to add new content, the pages have gone down to 18.

Not sure whats causing this but would like to see if anyone else has experienced this and as to the reasons why...

Is this just my sector or widespread?

Google's site operator has been buggy for many months, and many of the page counts that Google returns are approximations only.

Additionally, Google's entire index has been in a state of flux for a while.

I wouldn't take these changes personally.

I think these changes in the number of pages in google's index is real because the number of visitors also fluctuates proportionaly with the number of pages
