Saw this on the front page of Google. What's this all about?

Will businesses be able to place their business in for a "listen fee"?

Or perhaps you will be able to "Press 9 for Duke's Chicken and Waffles" and then Google charges a fee from that?

Is this whole thing really completely necessary? Isn't that what the local SERPs are for in the first place?

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd....go.

It really is an extension of LocalSearch - in some spots they're even calling it Google Voice Local Search [mobile.google.com]. Using voice over a phone connection is a lot friendlier in some situations than using full blown Google, or even Google Mobile.

Currently at least, there are no advertising opportunities here.
