I am new to the SEO and have just recently discovered the effect of PR diluting, can anyone recommend an article that explains this topic?

Another question: I have about 4-5 affiliate links per page - do my pages lose PR because it is transferred from the site via this links? Will nofollow tag help?

If you have a lot of content on those pages, eventually they should get links from elsewhere and that will help out.

A lot of content get's the Googlebot's interest, as well as inbound links (which also get the G-Bots interest).

The best thing to read is the original papers on PR. It's not complicated maths. A page has a PR value from inbound links. It passes on that PR (minus a dampening factor) to it's links. End of story. The only thing you are losing is a little bit of feedback PR to your own internal links. What you are gaining is: you are part of the WEB, and your outbound links help define what your page is about.

Be smart, most of the people who panic about PR leakage seem to be a state of paranoia - just sit down and figure it out yourself. Or even better don't worry about it all - write more and better pages instead
