When to tinker again?

I haven't changed my site in about a month and in the last few days my non-supplemental pages have increased by about 50%. Traffic doesn't seem to have increased, but that's another story.

I'd like to experiment with the number of internal links on some pages to see how many pages I can get out of supplemental, but I don't want Google to freak out because the site changes. When do you think it's safe to tinker again?

Don't know what to say. The pages leaving supplemental may be a coincidence, so I can certainly see following up with another round of similar changes to see if this is what's helping. As long as the new linking is beneficial for your visitors, I think I'd go for it again.
