I have a website which has been around for at least 3 years. There are many links into the website and I know google does not show all the links and it's not a clear indication but I have always has 25-30 showing and even though the amount of links coming into the website is growing the amount shown has not grown since the first update.

What could be causing this?
Has anyone else experienced this also?
Is there a fix for this?

Yes, I've seen this one - an all manner of other bad report data from Google. The key for me is to stay focused on traffic - and to a degree, rankings. But not the reporting functions, which can be off by a wide amount. These reporting errors don't usually affect my sites in the search results, and as long as they don't - I just relax about it. Google has their own behind-the-scenes data which often doesn't line up with the public reporting tools and queries.

It affects my website as for some reason it just goes up and down like a yo-yo. I have done a redirect as I was told that Google sees both a www and one with the 3w's as separate websites. Still the website is fluctuating and positioning is not improving.
Any ideas? Can it be the quality of the links? I have researched other major industry leading websites and they all have links from all types of websites. Why would mine be any different, I too do not have many links out.
