Links: Do multiple keywords in links all carry the same weight?

Hey Guys:

Understanding that external links may not necessarily be a large part of the current G algo... but...

Does anyone know if multiple keywords in a link (not a KW stuffed link just 1 or 2) all carry the same weight but are utilized by G at different times to assist in SERP rankings?

Is there, in theory, a KW Density and Prominence metric for a single link?

Example:

Widget+KW1.com - Buy (similar KW2) and (similar KW3)

Thanks

I'd say no - at least not directly. I don't see kw density as a direct component of the Google algo in any spot at all. The semantic analysis they use today is (or attempts to be) more sophisticated than that. The same applies to kw prominence. Natural language use undermines prominence as a dependable predictor of relevance in many ways. Sometimes the phrase taken as a whole introduces a major shift in meaning. Sometimes the order of two words creates a radical shift.

Still, as "tools for thinking", I'd say both prominence and density can be helpful. They're just not worth a lot of agonizing over, or distorting the natural flow of language.

Thank you for your input.

I guess what I am trying to understand is that while a single KW in a link will assist (among other factors) in G determining the THEME of the site that the link points to....

Would another semantically related KW in that same link dilute the value of both, reinforce the value of both, or simply carry it's own weight to return a search result for the 2nd KW.
