- Cache dates that are from yesterday but the content on the page is from 5 weeks ago, how can a cache date say 9-5-07 and show a version of a page that hasnt been live for 5 weeks? Ive checked and these pages arent jacked, its purely a Google issue.

- Cache refreshing so slowly that MSN and Yahoo now outperform Google on cache aging by weeks in many cases. These are on PR 7 pages that usually get cached daily. Also we are still being heavilly crawled but it seems like the cache takes days to weeks to update now.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Same observation on our websites... no matter how many new quality back-links we have acquired during holidays (both homepage or less-competitive deeplinks) we are still stuck on the same positions as around August 10th.

When double-checking the new backlinks with cache: command on outside websites, they are only 40% cached now - comparing to different link campaign of the similar quality, terms, topic websites....

Tedster and few others have had a comments about unusual behavior regarding spidering and SEPRs cache updates several times last few days. The Labor Day in US (last weekend, already passed by) should have been "The Day When Crawling And SERP Cache Returns To Normal"... obviously not yet.

All this mad things - cache, serp's changes, PR update - are connected. Google cann't work up all parts in a single whole.

Whatever is shown in the public cache isn't actually the data that is used for ranking anyway - and snippet data is generated from somewhere else yet again. None of these are ever in sync.
