Well
we used jokes site now we have made portal for that site and made jokes site part of it....
and content wise we are the best we have found in market for the "country name jokes"
we are linked by more than 50 site no farm links but real sites...

our problem is we happen to get pushed in google rank once and again..our site is daily updated and one level of seo is also done...

but the older relevent sites which doesnt actually macth the keyword are ranked higher than our every now and then...
and after some days our site again comes in number 1

so we are confused what to do...
we know we cannot hold that position for ever..means it dynamic..but those sites actually are not better than us content wise ,seo wise, link wise..just older than us only...
we are also 1 years old
so any thing we can to to maintain that google rank in search

Google results switch between different sets of data - often those data sets are testing out different algorithm settings. The two factors that I see stabilize a website in the search results, no matter what algorithm changes are going on, are 1) age and 2) continued growth of backlinks.
