On the AU search results I am seeing "local" results with the google map and a selected few businesses, does anyone know where Google is pulling the data for these results? Is it ODP?

I believe Google's local search results are a mash-up of the former Google Local with Google Maps, and at least some of the raw data is provided by TrueLocal. Apparently AdWords can also play into what this mash-up displays, although I'm not really knowledgable about that angle. What I'm pieceing together comes partially from the Google AU official blog:
Thanks for that Ted, I've been working some SEO for a friend and these results have started to interupt the keyword searches that we are targeting, they display the same reults most of the time from what I can see but they are not served all the time.
