Is it me?

Now when I'm searching for our sites targeted keyword, google's local results are no longer at the top. Anyone else seeing this? Or has it been like this for other searches for sometime?

Google does test different layouts - all the time, in fact. So you are probably one of the lucky ones. I'm still seeing local results at the top.

yeh we noticed this to we used to get a map poped up when we did "town name keyphrase" and the map no longer appears.

This seemed to be keyed of our business local listing

Wheer in teh UK BTW

google does fluctuate. and they often throw in non-local sites for fun too.

wikipedia gets top ranking in a lot local results for google australia, when wikipedia has no business in the top spot for a lot of local searches.

ie: search a particular product/technology select local, and there they are at the top, If i want a result from wikipedia, I'll look in wikipedia, it's actually quite annoying :)

I do a lot of local search and its definetly there. If you are signed into Google and don't click the local business ads they do stop showing them sometimes as Google is trying to personalize your search results. If you can stay logged out you may see them more often. Hope that helps.
