An oddity - Site Search with Trailing Slash

I've noticed an oddity at Google. One of my sites recently started producing the "Your search - site:domain.com - did not match any documents" when doing a search at Google for "site:domain.com". But changing the search to "site:domain.com/" (note the trailing slash) results in a listing of pages for the site.

I'm not sure what this means, but it's odd.

Odd, are pages supplimental, does inurl:domain.com give same result?
