There was a negative post about my site that was edited about a week ago. The editing basically removed the title tag and content from the page. The page still show up in the SERPs with the old title tag and content. How long does Google usually take to react to a change like that?

Whenever Google 1) spiders and 2) indexes the new version. That frequency all depends on the site where it appears, and probably the fact that Google is a bit slow right now is also playing in. If it's already been a week, I would expect to see it change very soon.

Sometimes the "old version" of a page will be placed in the Supplemental Index while the "new version" of the page is simultaneously indexed in the Regular Index.

Which "result" you see then depends on the search query that was issued. This behavious can last for about 6 to 12 months, before the old version is finally dropped.

g1smd, let's hope that doesn't happen.
