I made a website 1 year ago. I added it's link to all my sites. Totaly like 2000 pages, 20 sites.
but yes it happenned in a short time period.
keyword is one word. linked from all of them with same one word keyword.
i also couldnt get in to dmoz.
it is all unique becuase site is "yellow pages" site.
people post with their unique words. but i create directory structure (for cities and towns) with low posts.
I had success for sub directories, but never had success (even i cant be listed in top 500 results) for main keyword.
it was really easy in the old times :))
what is/are wrong.
1. to add link quickly
2. to add link with anchor text.
3. cant get in to dmoz.
4. to create directories empty.
btw. pagerank become 5 but it is worthless.
sorry yes it is a little confusing.
thanks in advance
I always use one way links for my network.
Anyway why it would be a bad thing to have 20 websites in a server and linking each other.
The thing is i dont expect to be on top, my problem is, I couldnt get in to top 500 sites. but for sub directories results are well enough.
is dmoz a big factor? but what should we do to get in. internet grows but dmoz not?
thanks
Interestingly enough they are not one way links... there is a link to each site from the bottom of every page of each site.
This has worked for years and continues to work today.
I would imagine you can find your site on:
[64.233.179.99...]
Also with reference to DMOZ - they are adding sites as ours went in last month (submitted December 2005).

Yeah, it works. Even a lousy link construction can help you boost a site.
But always have in mind that those links has less weight for Google, than links coming from "stranger"/"authoritave" sites.
It all depends on how much competition your target keyword has.
It surely can't hurt, but it's not a major deciding factor. As an editor, there are thousands of sites sitting in the que. My site from it's conception has done well, and once I got listed in DMOZ (after two years) I really noticed no change (and I have two listings).
I personally don't think DMOZ is as powerful as most people tend to think.
Anyway, let me start from the begining. i will make a site step by step
1. Make a well optimized website. (titles, header, urls... we all know same rules)
2. I have 4 level directory structure. (Country, State, City and Town) Is it good idea to pulish them time to time. First country and states. Then start adding cities and towns. I mean dont give 100k pages to googlebot suddenly.
3. Add your link to other sites with different anchor text.
4. Dont be hurry to get links even for your own network. add link slowly.
5. try to get in directories (dmoz, yahoo...)
6. sign guestbooks (yes it spammy but is it really hurts).
7. create free websites related content (geocities, msn groups)
8. Buy links from even unrelated sites but with good PR and good traffic.
9. create unique contents slowly.
10.pray GODdle :)
what do you think? will you add some or take off.
thanks
