Is it possible that google is applying a filter to domain names that have hyphens in them? www.domain-domain-domain.com?

Just a thought.

You sometimes get wierd results if you try -www or -inurl:www as an extra search term too (especially for sites that are already fully listed as www pages).

Adam - Is Google handling hyphens in the URL [ versus the domain ] OK?

e.g.

www.mydomain.com/does-this-work/

Does Google have an issue with triple hypens as well?

e.g. www.mydomain.com/fred_kennedy_-_sub-division/

Where a hyphen/space is necessary

becomes :
www.mydomain.com/fred-kennedy---division-one/

We thought we might put a "+" in to replace one of the hyphens, but on observing other sites using triple hyphens which had indexed URL's in Google's SERP's we decided to use the hyphens.
