Would this appear to be duplicate content?

The following isn't what I'm actually looking to do. It is however a very close example.

I want to make a site about 50 basketball players. Here is what michael-jordan.html would look like:

Title: Michael Jordan stats - points, rebounds and assists

Page Content:
______________________
Michael Jordan's stats

Points - x
Rebounds - y
Assists - z

2-4 paragraphs containing my personal thoughts and opinions of Michael Jordan. (AKA what makes this site unique)

I would have 1 page for 50 different players that would all fit this mold. They would have the same exact title (just replace "michael jordan" with "other player's name") and with the exception of a few numbers in the stats, very similar on-page content.

Of course the 2-4 paragraphs containing my personal opinion of the player will be different for each player, but they would all contain similar basketball type terminology.

The site would pretty much be 50 pages of this. How likely is it that Google would view this site as 50 pages of dup content?

I have a somewhat similar situation on one site, and the individual pages each get search traffic. The 2-4 unique paragraphs will be quite elpful.

That said, the worst that should happen is that some of these pages get filtered out somehow -- which I don't think is likely if you feature each athlete's name in the title, meta description, and page header and also have those specific paragraphs for each one. Look to those unique paragraphs to fill in the meta description.

On the assumption that each page title is different you should be fine. It's evidently not duplicated content after all. Almost every ecommerce site has the same setup, boiler plate text with unique values (Price: $500, Weight: 3lbs etc).
